Day 1: Weekly commercial flights oVOLARIS AIRLINES to Obregon, Sonora, Mexico (CEN) every Thursday from TIJUANA AIRPORT (now linked to San Diego by Pedestrian Skybridge)  Please note: Flights are to be arranged by you and are NOT included in your course fees. On arrival your designated driver will meet you for your leisurely 45-minute transfer to LA MAISON D'ART - Nonnie Thompson's 17th Century Spanish Colonial Hacienda in historic Alamos and your home for the next seven nights. Settle into your bedroom suite with private bathroom, before cocktails by the pool, followed by a delicious dinner inspired by local flavours.

Day 2: Outlining & Drawing of your proposed subject onto sketch pads. Still life composition, painting from photographs (bring your own), or life model on request. Using scale, measuring and perspective you will learn about transferring what you see onto paper. You should end up with a competent drawing of your future painting.

Day 3: Transferring your drawing onto canvas using a thin, raw umber wash, followed by creating light and shadow, using various sepia tones and learning how to mix oil colour. By using a limited palette* you will learn to create whatever color you need to complete your masterpiece. You also familiarize yourself with various techniques of applying paint. Your painting is under way!

Day 4: Full day of painting with full supervision, guidance & Margaritas.

Day 5: Finalizing your painting with full supervision, guidance & more Margaritas.

Day 6: Group discussion & exhibition of your masterpieces, before final night celebration over scrumptious dinner in one of Alamos' gourmet restaurants.

Day 7: Breakfast, after which your designated driver transfers you to Obregon, Sonora (Mexico) airport for your flight home.
